The quiet luxury of a considered bathroom

Published February 2025

Why the most expensive part of a bathroom isn't the tapware — it's the millimetres of planning behind the wall.

The quiet luxury of a considered bathroom

A bathroom is a small room with a high concentration of trades, materials and water. The difference between a bathroom that ages well and one that begins to fail at year three is almost entirely invisible.

Set out before you set tile

Every B&Y bathroom is set-out twice: once on paper at 1:20, then again at full scale in chalk on the floor and walls. Tile joints align with tap centres, niche edges and door frames.

  • Aligned grout lines and fixture centres
  • Concealed cisterns and bottle traps
  • Integrated towel-rail circuits
  • Independent waterproofing inspection

Investing in your home is not a luxury — it's a necessity for wellbeing.
